Terms, in plain words.
What you can expect from Nora, and what we ask of you.
Who we are
Nora (“we”) helps older adults and their families stay on top of everyday life. By using Nora, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Nora.
What Nora is, and isn't
- Nora is a helper for older adults and their families: reminders, a shared calendar, family updates and friendly ideas.
- Nora is not a medical service. She doesn’t diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and she doesn’t replace your doctor, pharmacist or emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.
- Nora is not an insurance agent or advisor. She doesn’t sell insurance or recommend plans.
- Nora uses AI and can make mistakes. Please double-check anything important, like a medicine dose, an appointment time or an address.
- Reminders and messages depend on phones, networks and other services working. Nora can’t promise every reminder arrives on time, so please don’t rely on her alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Nora.
- Each person signs in with their own private link. Keep it to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
- The person at the center of a circle decides who joins and what each family member can see. Please only add people who want to be added, and only give Nora a phone number that’s yours or that its owner agreed to share.
Connections you choose
You can choose to connect other services, like Google or Medicare. Those services have their own terms. Connecting Medicare goes through Quilt, which handles the sign-in and your agreement; its privacy policy applies there. You can disconnect anytime in Settings.
Fair use
Please don’t use Nora to harass anyone, to send messages people didn’t ask for, to break the law, or to try to get into anyone else’s information or our systems.
Early access
Nora is in early access. Features may change, and we may pause or end the service. If we end it, we’ll tell you first when we can, and you can delete your information anytime in Settings.
Ending your use
You can stop anytime and erase your information with Settings → Delete my information. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
The legal part
- Nora is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Nora, including a reminder or message that didn’t arrive.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes and questions
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and say so in the app. Questions? Write to [email protected].
